Why I Love Digital Marketing

Over the span of my career I have overseen all types of marketing campaigns, be it B2B, product, traditional, brand, experiential, etc. Digital marketing, however, will forever hold a special place in my heart. First, because it’s how I started my career, way back in 2005 (for those keeping track, Facebook wasn’t officially available to the public until 2006 and neither was Twitter). It was a bit of the Wild West back then, with very few brands and advertisers taking online marketing seriously, and a lot of digital marketers having to quickly adapt to the arrival of each new platform, device (hello, iPhone!) and regulation. It was an exciting time that required a lot of quick thinking, agility and creativity. It didn’t take very long for everyone to see the value digital marketing brought to the table. This is the second reason I love digital marketing, because of all the advantages it provides businesses and brands.
