My super easy and useful networking hack

I wanted to share a quick tip to help you level-up your networking skills and start connecting like a pro! A must watch for all professionals.

I just came back from Collision in Toronto and I noticed that very few people know/use this LinkedIn shortcut and often end up fumbling with their phones to pull up their contact info. Many of the people who saw me do this in person said it blew their minds. I shared it on LinkedIn, it went viral and has been getting tons of positive feedback.

Honestly, it’s so simple! if you are not doing this already, I guarantee you will at your next networking event.

Ok, here we go:

3 easy ways to share your LinkedIn profile IRL

Level 1: for beginner networkers

On your iPhone, long press the LinkedIn icon and select “Scan QR code”. This brings you straight to the page with your QR code so anyone can scan it with their camera (no need to be in the LinkedIn app.

Level 2: for intermediate connectors

Take a screenshot of that LinkedIn QR page and set it as your Lock Screen for the duration of the event. This way, you don’t even need to unlock your phone to share your LinkedIn details.

Level 3: for star networkers!

Copy the QR into Canva (or any other design software) and modify the visual to match your design aesthetic, then set that as your Lock Screen.

See, super simple!

I show you how to do it step-by-step in the video below. Check it out and let me know in the comments if you found it useful 👇
